‘Extreme proposals’ are very popular in Russia.
They typically involve the fiancée being harassed by fake police on a fake charge and then her fiancé jumps in and pops the question.
However, one extreme proposal went wrong when Alexei pulled the stunt on his fiancée Helga. Unknown to Alexei who thought Helga worked in administration, she was actually a highly-trained special forces undercover operative.
When the stunt men stopped her car and pretended to kidnap her, Helga’s training took over.
She knocked out four of her ‘attackers’ and set fire to the ‘kidnap’ vehicle to cover her escape while calling the police.
Alexei was supposed to arrive, save her and ask her to marry him. When he did arrive moments later he found Helga had already ‘taken care’ of the ‘kidnappers’ and the police were arriving in force.
Thinking it was part of the scene, Alexei got down on one knee and proposed.
Helga said:”I was nearly kidnapped. How can you propose at a time like this?”
After the situation was fully-explained, Alexei asked why Helga never told him what her real job was.
“Because it’s secret you dummy,” replied Helga. “At least it was until you blew my cover, asshole.”
Helga later told reporters she could never marry someone so stupid.
Alexei has been billed for the cost of the car Helga blew up as well as hospital bills for the men she injured,
The police are considering prosecution for wasting police time, reckless endangerment and littering a public place with a burning car.
Alexei mused ruefully: “I can’t believe she was a secret agent. I thought I was going to marry the girl. Instead I lost the girl, got a massive bill and the threat of jail.
“Pass the vodka.”
